Fondamia was founded by Ricky and Ciki, two cat parents who believe every pet deserves to be remembered as the individual they were. We create photo-personalized memorial gifts and thoughtfully designed dog collar frames that customers complete at home, helping the pets we love remain close in another form.
The Story Behind Fondamia
The Cat Who Started It All
Strawberry came into Ciki's life as more than a pet. Strawberry became part of the family.
At just over a year old, Strawberry accidentally swallowed a hair tie and needed emergency surgery. After the operation, acute pancreatitis followed, and for an entire week, Strawberry's recovery remained uncertain.
Strawberry pulled through, but the experience changed how we understood the place pets hold in our lives. It made the possibility of losing them suddenly real and showed us how deeply their presence becomes woven into our homes, routines, and memories.
Why We Created Fondamia
When we looked at existing pet memorial products, many felt generic, scattered, or limited to simple templates. They rarely captured the small details that make one pet unmistakably different from every other.
We created Fondamia to offer a more personal experience. Our photo-personalized suncatchers, portraits, and ornaments begin with a real photo. Customers see an approximate preview before checkout, receive a final proof within 24–48 hours after ordering, and may request one free revision before production. Our dog collar memorial frames are designed for customers to add their own photo and collar at home, without uploading or mailing either item.
The Name
Fondamia is a name created to evoke affection, friendship, and something dearly held. It brings together “fond,” with its sense of love and tender remembrance, and the soft echoes of “ami” and “mia.”
To us, Fondamia means a memory held with love.
